While I have experience at interviewing, I wanted to get the best training I could that would enhance my skills and offer me the best business strategies available for insuring this series and all future series are a resounding success for everyone involved: from the listeners to the guest speakers.
I've heard nothing but good things about Alex Mandossian and his teaching style. So, my expectations are high and so is my motivation. I recognize the inherent value of teleseminars as a tool for sharing knowledge. When I listened to the introductory call with Alex and Lou D Alo, I learned so much. It was obvious to me that this series would be AMAZING!
An added reason for becoming a teleseminarian is that I have felt isolated in certain personal and professional situations. For example, as a child life specialist in private practice in a geographically isolated area, I didn't have easy access to colleagues for sharing of information and ideas. Now I am parent of a child with a particular learning disability that is not commonly diagnosed. My connections regarding this are mostly via the internet. I educate myself to advocate with school personnel who may or may not be familiar with this.
Teleseminar techniques will allow me to bring together communities for information and support! This gives me STEAM!
My Ideal Prospect:
1. Parents of children with complex needs, often with more than one diagnosis, although the child may not yet even have a diagnosis. (neuro-developmental, mental health, learning disabilities, medical)
As well as my professional experience in this area, I also have parenting experience with complex needs.

I have had a long-range business plan for the last few years and 2008 is the year for information products for my company. I have practiced my craft of public speaking for a couple of decades and the positive response I get actually amazes me. However, traveling is draining and I usually have to stick to a topic that I was hired to cover, knowing that the audience would like me to cover more in-depth. (confirmed by feedback forms.) I am a marriage and family therapist with a specialization in mid-life women, singles and adult siblings. I have published 7 books for both professionals and the general public. I have also published several ebooks and audio cds all having to do with differnt types of relationships. In addition, and what I want the teleseminars for,I run Unique Retreats For Women -- personal growth weekends held in interesting resorts/locations. I want to start promoting my Unique Retreats for Single women through the teleseminars. Later, I will do teleseminars on other themes of my retreats.
Why I'm Taking Alex's Class:
I have taught classes in universities and for the general public, but I have not done any teching by this teleseminar method. I obviously want to learn how to do this and I want it to be successful. One (only one) of the biggest concerns is I do not have an email list. I am a great teacher and a lousy computer/techno person.
My Ideal Prospect:
For my first teleseminar, my ideal prospect is a single woman between the ages of 30-68, with enough income to afford the retreats. She can be an Always Single or a Single Again (through divorce or widowhood) woman, with or without children. While some of the same ideas are appropriate for lesbians, the most likely propsect would be a heterosexual woman. Nothing else really matters in terms of who she is. These teleseminars are NOT about how to meet a man, and that has to be clear to the prospect.

I heard Alex speak at a conference and thought he was incredible, so I have been dying to sign up for a class by Alex. I have been resisting teleseminars because I am almost finished recording my audio program without having done teleseminars. However, now I think it would work to help those clients who still want more individual training but who I can train at a lower cost. I am still trying to figure out how to sell the recording if I already have the same product - maybe it could be a bonus or something!
My Ideal Prospect:
My ideal prospect is a lawyer in his or her 30's or 40's who has never thought that being a lawyer was perfect for him/her. It is for someone who is self motivated!
