I speak nationally on many topics related to my book, including nursing classes where it is being used as a textbook. In 2008, I am launching a "How to Be An Empowered Patient or Caregiver Workshop". My goal is to empower and engaged people in their or a loved one's healthcare to enable better care, prevent medical errors, and save money. The focus is on effective comunication and how to do it through use of the forms & guidelines provided. The ultimate benefit is improved confidence and peace of mind as they seek healthcare.

Why I'm Taking Alex's Class:
People who want and need my information are hungarily seeking to find it or develop their own system to manage their care. As I have traveled the country, I get low trunout at my events the first time, then when word spreads other wish they had attended. I see teleseminars as the perfect vehicle to solve this problem and keep me off the road. I want to learn everything Alex is willing to share so I can successfully deliver a variety of products to meet my customers needs effectively and efficiently.
My Ideal Prospect:
My ideal prospect is anyone with chronic conditions or those caring for another, be it a child, elderly loved one or one who is disabled. As baby boomers age and put tremendous stress on our healthcare system, anyone desiring to be on top of their care and work more effectively with their healthcare providers will greatly benefit. After all, we were never taught "how to be patients".
Businesses have called my system the "missing piece" in cutting healthcare costs, as it focuses on empowerment and self-managment rather than providing these services.

What I Do:
I am a software engineering author and consultant in the areas of Software Requirements, Project Management, Software Development Processes, and Software Architecture. I am particularly good at working with very large projects (50 people or more). I have had my own company Wyyzzk, Inc. since 1997. I have been on the internet since 1984.
I maintain a blog and membership site for software requirements writers. I also have a blog for small business owners.
Most of my income for the past 10 years is from Business-to-Business contracts, where I go to large corporations to help them successfully run very large software projects.
My passion is helping other people succeed, so I am starting to work on a product to help people develop their own Micro-business. I am learning a lot from my current websites and want to use what I have learned to help people worldwide be independent and to improve the global economy.
Why I'm Taking Alex's Class:
I am re-taking this class in 2009-2010 to refresh my knowledge and gain new insights. I have used teleseminars with Ask campaigns in the past to great success, and want to make better use of them now. I also plan to include teleseminars in my product for micro-businesses, because I think it is a great way for an individual to build a relationship with their market that leads to a sustainable business.
To me a micro-business is a company that one person runs, with sales of about $100,000 a year, based on a primary customer base of (on average) 1000 true fans. Or it could be 2 people running the company for about $200,000 a year. This kind of business needs to be very in touch with their customers and needs to serve them excellently. This is a very do-able business model for large numbers of people worldwide. Teleseminars are a vital part of that business model.
My Ideal Prospect:
My current focus is individuals who work as requirements writers on software projects. My prospects are relatively new to the job of writing software requirements. They have typically read some books on the topic, but are looking for more specific guidance in their work. I also anticipate offering classes for people who are more advanced in their career.
Once I have this business established, I will be targeting people who want to own their own micro-business, providing products and services to help them succeed.
I get my large corporate contracts from people who read my book, read my blog, or take my teleseminars. These things have established me as an expert in my field.
